It's just another Manic Monday here in Philly...actually, it's a pretty calm Monday morning. However, we're now at just 5 days and counting until I get to play my first show with The Bangles! I've never really been one for dancing in the streets, banging pots and pans. But, if I were ever going to start that tradition, it would probably now. SO EXCITING!
So anyway, I had a pretty productive weekend. I wrote a song that I'm so ecstatic about. I really don't think I've ever been so anxious to have everybody hear a song. The song is definitely intended to be Pop/Country, but like most songs, production could take it any way imaginable. I'm not a Country artist, but I do write a lot of songs that I consider to fit into the Country genre. It's just that after I take them into the studio, we usually take them down a more Rock/Pop road. This time however.....well, we'll just have to see... : )
I think my nails are due for a color-change. I have no idea if it's nice out today, but maybe I'll grab some polish and try for my front step. XO

My first Blah, Blah Blog entry...Yay!
Hey there! Lindsay here. Welcome to my brand new Blah, Blah Blog! There's so much going on, that I decided it was finally time to start a blog so you can all keep track of what I'm doing, where I'm doing it, and who I'm doing it with!
Now's as good a time as ever to start this thing up, because last night, I got to open for the one and only Joe Cocker! What a huge honor. He was so awesome live. I especially loved hearing him do the theme song from the Wonder Years...yes, I realize the song has a name (a very famous name), but I'm a classic TV geek, so I prefer to think of it that way.
The venue is one of my favorites - the Bergen Performing Arts Ctr. I played there a year ago with Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, so it was great to be back. The staff and the touring crew were awesome to me. It always makes it 1000% more fun to play a show when you feel like the other people working on it, are supportive and seem happy to be there. Get this - my security guards at the show, do security for MADONNA on tour!
The crowd was fantastic! One of the best I've ever had. And I also got to hang out with my friend, Kenny Aronoff. Most people know Kenny as the legendary drummer who has played with EVERY artist on EVERY song you hear on the radio! One of the best parts about touring, is getting run into people on the road. Makes it really easy to see friends in all different parts of the country! My manager was in from LA, so he got to come out to the show too, which was great.
We're having a kind of chilly, grey day in Philly today. But recently we've been hit with quite a few summery days, so it's all good. That' so boring. I'm sorry. Who wants to go to someone's blog to ready about the weather? Not me.
Anyway, I think that just about wraps up my first blog entry. One last thing before I go...do you believe that ADAM was in the bottom 3?! Shocking. Ya never know what's gonna go down on reality shows. I guess that's why they're called reality shows.
I've got some exciting stuff to share with you guys, so make sure you keep checking in with me here and on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and everywhere else that I productively waste my time : ) Naaaaah. You know we love it! Heck - Facebook lets you change your language setting to "Pirate"...they're good in my book! Arrrrr
See ya!
